Van Loveren has grabbed yet another marketing opportunity by signing up as sponsor for the upcoming Unplugged62 music festival.
The festival, from 7 to 9 October, will be held at Joubert-Tradauw Vineyards in the Klein Karoo with popular SA musicians such as Albert Frost, Majozi (whose hit single “The River” (see video below) played on major radio stations including 5fm and Kfm) and Nomadic Orchestra. Stylish gypsy jazz, raw melodic rock, intoxicating three-part harmony, neo-classical arrangements on violin and DJ Dirtroad’s 50s to 90s beats are the other attractions promised by the organisers.
Van Loveren will be hosting a “Breakfast with Christina” on the Saturday morning, MCC style with a delicious plate of food and a glass of bubbles in the garden.
Van Loveren Family Vineyards are the producers of the popular Four Cousins and Tangled Tree ranges, as well as the Van Loveren label itself, Five’s Reserve, Papillon and Christina van Loveren.
A whole weekend
Festival goers are expected from far and wide, enjoying a whole weekend of music, camping, Deli Alfresco Klein Karoo lunch, a market-style tasting area with all sorts of delicious local fare, and of course Van Loveren’s wines.
Unplugged62 is a great weekend away for the whole family as all ages are welcome. An adult weekend pass will set you back R750 (Joubert-Tradauw’s Deli Alfresco Saturday lunch included). Chilidren 12 and over: R375 (Saturday lunch included). Kids under 12 enter free of charge. Meals for the rest of the weekend can be pre-booked.
